October Painting Holiday
If you like me, have been dreaming about painting holidays abroad in the sun, where you get to soak up the local culture and be artistically inspired by stunning scenery, then read on!
Recently, I have partnered up with a company in Southern France, whom have painstakingly transformed a once derelict farm and its land into stylish and comfortable accommodation. Just an hour from Toulouse and Carcassonne airport, based on the doorstep of the Pyrénées in the Ariège. ‘Zero Neuf’ is, the perfect Escape.
Owners Mike and Joss’s idea was simply, to provide a fabulous base for cyclists, their families and non-riding partners. A place where you’re encouraged to switch off, regardless of whether you’re out on the bike, lying by their swimming pool, or kicking back in their onsite café.
As the business has gone from strength to strength, they are now looking to bring a creative element into their enterprise; offering, cookery, yoga and art retreats and that’s where I come in!
Joss contacted me to run this idea past me. Knowing my art and having personally attended my adult art courses, she knew this would be right up my street. As a landscape painter, I couldn’t think of a nicer holiday to go on, so I was over the moon to be asked to rise to this challenge!
The plan is to take a group of keen artists to delight in sketching, photographing and painting the local scenery, as well as partaking in day trips to local food markets, walking, yoga sessions, wine tasting evenings, and of course eating, drinking and socialising. All my favourite things!
Imagine, a painting holiday in the South of France! Zero Neuf will take care of all everything, including excellent accommodation, gourmet meals, transport, as well as all materials and equipment. I will of course, take full care of your artistic needs! The perfect combination…
